Guest Book

Feb 12, 2023:    Bob Budzein has asked about a reunion for our class.  Candy Amidon Loden has asked about this as well. My understanding is that the committee who formerly planned reunions decided against any more reunions and gave away the class monies to a worthy cause.  So if there is sufficient interest by many of you for an easy inexpensive get together, please contact Candy (candyloden@aol.com)  or Bob (262-378-1459) and offer your help..   Thanks.  Ann

Would be more than happy to attend another reunion. If anyone needs help more than willing to do whatever. Live in Lombard I'm so not that far away. Will try to get my brother and Ron gambler to get the lead out.

Any interest in a future reunion? 2023? 61st reunion!  Contact Candy (see below!)
Or contact Bob Budzein. (robertbudzien@yahoo.com)Bob suggests putting it on FB and have it at Thunder bay grill. Make it simple, he suggests. I think we'd all agree, the simpler, the better.

Sandy Firth McGee may still have class names and contact information. I have my reunion book from our 50th. (which may not be as up to date as it was 10 years ago.) I personally will not be able to serve on the comittee to plan this, but will help, as best I can. (Ann)

Name: Candy Amidon Loden  E-mail: candyloden@aol.com  Telephone: 4148286879  Comments: A few of us are trying to set up a class reunion for next year, we need help with getting all the emails of the class mates so we don’t spend money on mailing invitations and save the date post cards. Is there anyone who has that info.

In the Dec. 4th edition of the Waukesha Daily Freeman there was a fine article about Coach Ken Hollub, including a great photo of Hollub by our classmate, Jim Howitt.   http://waukeshafreeman.wi.newsmemory.com/

After you click on the above link, go to Tuesday, 12/4/12 and click on it (far right). Going left from that, choose "sports".  Then go to B-1 or click on "The Face of Waukesha Football", which is featured below.

If you aren't a member of the Blackshirt Breakfast Group, please consider doing that today by emailing Bill Schley at bill@wschley.com   It's free,  and you learn all kinds of fun things about our school, the city of Waukesha, our classmates, and our teachers and coaches. (like the above article!)

Glenn Goltz and I have ponied up to keep the website alive. I see others have, too.  Hurray! Now let's do some posting so we know "what's up." Glenn is in France touring with Barbara on thier canal boat. They have done this for many years. For the rest of the year they are still in San Diego. Lynn and I spend the summer at our little farm near Cedarburg, WI.  We love to have visitors. We have a nice pond in which we an all float around. Jim and Dottie Watso are coming soon to do just that. During the school year we are at our apartment in Boston. We take care of the youngest grandson after school and play with our grand dog. For the summer he flies to WI. He LOVES the pond. Our daughter just turned 50!! Our oldeste grandson is going to Dartmouth next year after a gap year starting this fall. He is following my example and spending 1/2 year in NZ and then the other half in China to perfect his Mandarin. Warm Regards, David Williams

WHAT A BLESSING!  Seeing so many Classmates with the Same Smiles of 50 yrs ago!  What a THRILL for PAT & me to walk down the hallway where my old locker was!  One mystery remains about my Senior Quip! Whoever suggested it was a Prophet!  "Which is it GAIL or PAT?"  After Gail Patricia Bright \'63 & I were married, a friend of Pat\'s told her how SORRY she was to hear that JIM MARRIED a GAIL and not PAT!  Pat had to explain that \'Gail\' was her first name and \'Pat\' was her middle name!  Those that only knew her in class would know her as GAIL, those that knew her personally, knew her as PAT, and some of those NEVER knew her real first name!  I would try(?) to solve it by saying, "I MARRIED GAIL, but I LIVE WITH PAT!"  So, IF I ever find out  \'WHO DUNNIT\', I\'ll tell\'em \'The Rest of the Story!\' :) :)

People keep asking me how many classmates came to our reunion.  Well, I  count 140 classmates over the 2 nights. ( In addition, many brought spouses or significant others.) Sandy may have a more accurate count.  I count 76 deceased and 42 lost.  So if we had 562 in our class and 118 deceased or missing, about 31% attended our reunion.

Thanks for all the photos you are downloading to the site! You\'ll see the pictures more quickly when you download photos directly to the website photo albums.  It takes longer for me to get photos from facebook or from your emails onto the website.  It\'s very helpful to have the names listed, as well.

Thanks!

Looking forward to the reunion and seeing everyone again.  I\'ve been retired for 5 years and working on my golf handicap, and it\'s so bad I think soc. sec. should have a special disability catagory for me to apply to.  Been married for 40 years, 5 children, 5 grand kids, life is good.  Hope everyone else is well.

WHS 62 ( 50) should be a real blast from the past for all who can be there.   Did the mayor follow up on his campaign promise to re-introduce Scrima\'s Pizza?   Best wishes to all the \'shirts who are still with us, , prayers and memories for those that have gone.
